Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Biology

My research focuses on advancing machine learning and computational biology with the goal of enhancing our understanding of cellular processes, and of transforming drug discovery.

Postdoctoral Researcher

I’m working on ML methods for cross-modality integration, perturbation and single-cell data. I’m passionate about solving novel ML challenges arising from biology.

Jules Samaran

Postdoctoral Researcher

My research focuses on the development of novel machine learning methods for the analysis of high-dimensional genomics data, with a particular emphasis on using optimal transport to integrate multiple single-cell modalities.

Rohan Subramanian

PhD Student (CS program)

I’m a first year CS PhD student passionate about machine learning for biology. I’m currently working on ML methods for understanding perturbation data.

Rushil Gupta

PhD Student (CS program)

I work on advancing AI methods to accelerate scientific discovery. My current focus is on building efficient, robust and generalizable frameworks for experimental design in diverse scientific domains.

Michelle Zhu

Undergraduate Student (Mathematics & CS)

I’m interested in developing machine learning methods for biological problems and scientific discovery. I’m currently focusing on multimodal learning and the interpretability of learned representations.
